Due to sustained business growth and commercial success, they currently have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Procurement professional to join their high-performing culture in a greenfield, standalone procurement role.
Position Available:
We are interested in speaking to either a current Procurement Manager or a skilled Procurement professional who is ready for the next challenge in their career.
Reporting to the GM of Construction and a dotted line to the CEO, this is a newly created position within the business and will play a critical role in supporting business growth. You will lead and manage the procurement function across the group, implementing strategies and managing supplier relationships, driving change and procurement excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish, develop and implement procurement strategies including supplier agreements, terms, and conditions.
- Establish and develop policies for procurement activities.
- Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations.
- Identify and mitigate risks within procurement and contracting activities.
- Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Streamline systems and processes (to improve organisational efficiency and reduce costs).
- Manage supplier contracts, partnerships, and tender processes for large supply arrangements.
- Analyse market trends, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance.
About you:
The ideal person for the role will be a motivated procurement professional who is commercially astute and able to influence/guide business stakeholders - providing insight and analysis.
Key requirements:
- Previous working experience in procurement and/or estimation.
- Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, contract management, and compliance.
- Ability to negotiate favourable supplier and subcontractor agreements.
- Strong knowledge of materials, pricing, and market trends.
- Proven track record in cost management, budgeting, and delivering projects within set financial targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in procurement processes.
- A current-driver’s license.
