The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager and working closely with the CFO, you will be responsible for supporting the group’s financial strategy gaining exposure to both the financial and management accounting functions - as well as commercial analysis and business operations.
Duties include:
- End of month reporting - journal posting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, invoice preparation, intercompany transactions.
- Balance Sheet and P&L analysis and commentary.
- Management and consolidated reporting including JV reporting.
- Cash Flow Management & Bank Reconciliations.
- Co-ordinate tax compliance including, GST, FBT BAS lodgement.
- Assist with tax forecasting and planning schedules.
- Cost & Project Accounting - Support project teams with financial tracking and WIP.
- Fixed asset and capital work in progress management.
- Assist with analysis and property valuations.
- Strategic Finance Support - Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business growth.
- Stakeholder Management - Work closely with CFO, GM, project teams, and external consultants to provide financial insights.
- Process Improvement - Identify efficiencies and system enhancements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- CA/CPA Qualified (or near to completion).
- Property/Construction industry experience or first step from Big 4/ Mid-Tier Audit highly regarded.
- Highly motivated and career driven.
- Adaptable with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet Finance deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel.
